Hello, I'm Mia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Germany wasn't part of our long-range plan. Like many people relocating abroad for work, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — fresh systems, new routines, novel expectations. Everyday tasks felt more cumbersome than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built FenwesVexaJovkelMor
The majority of information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was lacking was a sincere, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that void — practical guidance derived from real-life experiences in Germany.
What This Site Covers (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site is not:
- A tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review site
- A generic travel blog
Future Focus
Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we learn.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Mia
